FIFA warns Qatar police not to arrest female rape victims, issues advisory

Doha: As the FIFA World Cup 2022 has kicked in Qatar, the Muslim nation’s controversial sex laws have come to shore again. FIFA has asked the Qatari officials to not charge/arrest female rape victims, as would usually happen. As per reports, FIFA has sent an advisory to police officers stating that any fans who fall victim to a rape or sexual assault should not be charged with extra-marital relationships.
